Keystone in the Media
At the stroke of nine on the morning of 1 September, Keystone Academy opened its gates to its first batch of students marking a momentous milestone in the history of the school. The campus came alive as over 100 middle school students and close to 200 primary school students, their parents and a few grandparents, attended the first day of school. Excitement and anticipation could be seen as students queued up to register for orientation, as they smiled at their classmates, as parents greeted each other, and as parents and students were welcomed by the Head of School and faculty. As one excited foundation year student said, "I am ready for school." And another student from foundation year was so excited he showed it with a thumbs up and a big smile. Mr. Zhang, parent of a grade 8 student, said, "It is really exciting today. As with the opening of any new organization there were concerns, but the Keystone team has made it happen." Another parent and Keystone staff, Mrs. Wang, said, "The first day of school is fantastic." Primary and middle school teachers, who had the opportunity to meet their respective students and parents, were equally elated.
